Pink Floral Frame

This fancy, pink floral frame candy wrapper was created during one of my artist moments. I haven't had the pleasure of anyone ordering this particular wrapper yet. There are days when I just want to create something and I may sit at my computer for hours. Needless to say, my husband HATES it. He loves my lovely attention, but DUDE....you have to let me release my creative talents as well. Would someone tell him that...smile.

I love to draw, but since I've started the candy wrapping business, I've transferred my talents for drawing into my candy wrappers. Do I miss drawing my abstract art? Nope. Because putting different elements together in photoshop enables me to still fulfill my passion.

I remember when I was a little girl, I created one of those characters in the back of a magazine and my mom mailed it in. I remember clearly, it was the frog I had to recreate. I nailed it. Someone from the magazine was at my home talking with my mom in less than a week. They wanted me to enroll in artist program. Unfortunately, it wasn't a full scholarship and I was unable to attend. That didn't mean I gave up my love for drawing. I continued to draw, but now I create beautiful things in a different way. Never give up your dreams no matter what, because anything is possible.

OH...I have another quick story for you. I attend an Earth Day celebration every year and I'm supposed to be volunteering, but I always seem to disappear to the chalking area. I usually draw a super huge abstract flower on the ground, which usually draws a crowd. I actually made the newspaper last year, I wonder what I will create this year in 2009. I am art and art is my life.
